This month of September marks 10 years of Afrochoc, but we’ve sure seen ups and downs, from having two shops, 11 employees, to being back in the basement and going on hiatus and trying to sell the whole business alltogether.
But here I am, back in Malawi, and fully up and running again, ready to be saved as ‘The Chocolate Lady’ again! (no lie, that’s pretty much how people in Malawi knew me before the arts stuff – or Chocolate Laura).
We’ve had such an overwhelmingly positive response to resuming business and a fruitful first month. But – maybe more interestingly – I am also finding a renewed joy in chocolatiering.
